Stuttering Therapy in a "Neu" Era: What it means for SLPs
The neurodiversity movement has elevated the narrative of reflecting on our practices in many areas of communication differences. What does it mean for SLPs who work with those who stutter? How do we include cultural responsive practices in the stuttering therapy environment? This presentation outlines the paradigm shifts as well as provides practical applications of what we keep- and what we don't-from our past practices, and how this all shapes our assessment and intervention procedures.

Testimonials

I’ve had the opportunity to sit in a couple of your presentations over the years, and I first wanted to say thank you for providing me with more valuable information on stuttering than anyone I know! You are my inspiration and driving force behind my fluency therapy and my students’ speech notebooks over many years. Because of you, I’m no longer “scared” of stuttering therapy and instead it has become one of my very favorites. Thank you!

Great presentation! Extremely knowledgeable on topic, presented in a very organized fashion; talented speaker. Very practical activities presented were wonderful. Very thorough! -Kilgore TX Preschool presentation.
